The Parachute Emerger flies aredeadly patterns for trout. LDF first introduced these in 1993. Right away, we started to receive good reports.

The Hare's Ear version is the best of the best. I think the only type of water where this fly won't catch fish is muddy flood water.

These flies can be fished as dries or in the surface film or underwater. The pattern is tied on a curved dry fly hook (Daiichi 1130) which is intended to keep the front end of the fly on the surface and the tail end of the fly under water. However, customers tell me that they can catch fish with these flies on top or just underneath the surface.
