These venerable patterns continue to sell and catch fish. They are tough, they float well, and are reasonably visible. What more could you want in a dry fly? Everybody's favorite--the Royal Wulff--is still the best seller. By the way, we use moose body hair to make the tails, except for the Brown Drake. Moose hair makes a more durable tail. It is more expensive than bucktail, but it's tougher.
