New fly patterns are created every day. Concoctions that look like nothing ever seen, yet their creators promise us that these flies will catch fish like crazy. The novelties, though, never seem to push out the old standard dry flies. My advice--try the new, but you should always have a good supply of Adams, Blue Winged Olives, and Sulfurs. If the new ones don't work, you'll still have these old reliables that will!
