This one dates back to about 1980. It's an
LDF creation. It's a favorite with our customers who fish the White River in Arkansas and some other Ozark Rivers. It's meant to imitate a dull orange colored caddis from around these parts. It's a simple, tough, fish catching fly. You can also find this one listed in Eric Leiser's
The Book of Fly Patterns. Downiwing is fox squirrel tail, body is orange poly yarn, brown hackle. A good floater that will stay up in choppier water.
